the most important horses on my way
Prince was my first pony – a British direct hit. Prince was recommended to us by a friend, who worked for the English branch of my father’s company.

I had no knowledge of horses and horse-riding, I was just a little seven-year-old girl infatuated with horses and supposed to make a decision: between the black-horse pony Prince and a grey horse. I took the Prince with a height of 1.24 m and I have never, really never regretted my decision. He was the best pony in the world. When I had sorrow, I sat down next to him in his stall, below his feeding trough and told him everything. He was the perfect listener. And as regards sport, I gained my very first experiences with him – I participated in my first E-jumping with him and came second straight away. He spent a wonderful, long evening of life at our farm and died far over the age of 30.
O.Z. by AMG
You should not change good recipes: We bought O.Z. by AMG (AMG was my father’s company) from the same people as Prince. She was absolutely touchy, but she was good and I truly learned a lot from her. Maybe she laid the foundation for my today attitude: Mares fight better for their riders. I became European Champion in Italy in 1990 with O.Z. by AMG and the team at the Pony Show Jumping European Championship and came twelfth as regards individual results. I was only twelve years old at the time. This was an enormous achievement for me.

Paper Doll
Following the two ponies there was Paper Doll – my junior horse. Paper Doll was an Irish mare with a ram head, no real beauty, but incredibly loyal. Honesty was written in her huge eyes and that is how she was: a first-class junior horse I could rely on and learn a lot from. I celebrated my second gold medal at the European Championship with her: at the Junior Show Jumping European Championship in Austria in 1993. She also spent a wonderful time at our farm following her sports career.

Chrispas
I celebrated my first Nations Cup victory with the Russian gelding Chrispas. It was in Poland in 1999 and I was 21 years old, i.e. still a young rider. Of course, it was a decisive experience, which made me very proud. Chrispas was no giant with his hands height of 1.58 m, but he had a gigantic heart. He was a true hero for me, someone who never lets you down. Now, he spends the evening of his life on the stud farm Ligges.

Rainbow
I had Rainbow during my time as young rider. He helped me to master my first rally hard tasks. He was always well-behaved and fully trusted me. With a lot of heartache, I sold Rainbow to America. He still stays at his buyer’s. He will be cared for until his sunset years and is only ridden for recreational purposes.

Eburovic Gran Pre
In my opinion, Eburovic Gran Pre was the best horse I have ever had. She presented so much quality jumping – her body literally jerked when she flew over the pole. Despite her carefulness, she had a big heart und always tackled all tasks or at least she could easily be convinced of joining in. In the morning, she was a diva and drove away all others from the stall during ”breakfast”. |

MCB Abrisca

Abrisca was a dream mare. She fought like a wildcat and with full commitment on the show-jumping course, however, as soon as we left the course, she threw a switch and became a cuddle cat. I was very glad that she spent such great days with her little pony Emma on the paddock after her sports career. But then her eyes got so bad that she was no longer able to enjoy her life. I was incredibly sad when we had to have her put to sleep already at the age of 15. Since 2003 I have gained great experiences with her – placed eighth at the World Cup Final 2006 in Kuala Lumpur and particularly the victory at the last World Cup Final Examination with zero-zero. I have earned a lot from her and I have always grown more together with her. It was a great feeling. Ingmar and Abrisca made me the rider that I am today. I really have to thank the two a lot.
