My breeding horses

My special hobby-horse

My small breeding station is my very special hobby-horse. It is not urgently usual that equestrians also breed on their part, however, it is a great pleasure for me. And the special characteristic of my breeding station is: I only breed with mares that I rode professionally. I would like to get only fillies. I think it is great to introduce home-grown horses into the sport, like Cepetto and Raindrop at the moment. And I often have the feeling that mares fight better. However, past year I only had colts many breeders rather like stallions and only had mares in this season. This is typical of horse breeding: There is never want for surprises, which is exactly the fact that makes breeding that interesting.

Emotions also play an important role in horse breeding. . Every time I see my mares foaling it is quite a special moment for me particularly when a new foal was born. Yet, there are also moments that require a lot of strength and come along with incredible sadness. I was emotionally torn in 2006 when Incredible was born. On the one hand, I could have burst with happiness because at that moment it was the only foal of my sport stallion Ingmar. On the other hand, it was one of the saddest moments in my life as a breeder, because the mare mother Gunn died. Little Ingmar stayed at the stud farm Lewitz for a year and was grown by a nurse mother, now he is with us again. Due to his special story he was already named Incredible. Normally, my home-grown horses are only named when they are broken in.
I think that you know them better by then and this forms the basis for more individual names.

Stallions

MCB Ingmar of Cassini/Landego
(Holst. born 1993)

I celebrated my most numerous and important successes with Ingmar. As a person, he is a real gentleman – polite and unobtrusive. However, he always played up on the jumping course – he was a full sportsman. He has always had one objective: being the best! He also seems to go with every mare, passes on his fighting spirit, his absolute run before jumping and he has a decisive advantage in comparison to his father Cassini I: Ingmar is dominated by the bloodline of his mother – with which he also makes the mothers nobler. Speaking of mothers: Ingmar's mother also took part in international show-jumping tournaments.

Mares

  MCB Sandy of Singular Joter/Lehnsherr
(Hann. mare, born 1995)

If she passes on her competitiveness, she will become the best brood mare ever.

For Pia
(Hann. for Forsyth/Accord)

Her Offspring:
Stallion of Stakkato (born 2006) unfortunately had an accident last winter. Meanwhile, For Pia was taken out of the breeding programme and is being prepared for her career as sport horse.
